What is a SIM PIN1 / PUK1 code?
Every SIM comes with a security PIN1 and PUK1 code.
A PIN1 - code safeguards access to the information on your mobile phone by locking your SIM.
- If you have set up a PIN1 code, you will be asked to enter this number every time you turn your mobile on
- The default PIN1 is 1234 but it is best to change this for security
A PUK1 code is a personal unblocking key. If you enter the PIN1 code incorrectly 3 times, you will need your PUK1 code to unlock your SIM.

Note: If your PUK1 code is entered incorrectly 10 times, the SIM will be cancelled. It cannot be reactivated.
